Question A Childhood Present You Didn't Get

Was there ever a present you really wanted as a child but didn't get?

With me it was a two story furnished doll house that I just knew Santa was going to bring me, but he didn't. Now I realize it was too expensive for my parents at the time but as I kid I just didn't understand it.

One year i really wanted an electronic hobby kit...you could make all sorts of gadgets like a crystal radio, doorbell, etc, and, of COURSE my parents favorite , my brother got the only thing id asked for for 6 months, even though he never asked for one....big shock...went well with my brother getting a brand new bike the year after I got an old rusty one or how i had to wait til I was almost 19 & working to get a licence but they let him get his at 16.......I could go on, but, it's too painful.

I always wanted a beanbag chair and glitter pens. Never got them.

And now that I can buy them myself, I don't.

Me too, I wanted a bean bag chair. Pffft. Never got it. I did end up buying my daughters one several years ago. I think I sat in it more than they did.

When I was wee little tike, I wanted the bake oven toy, forgot the name, but you can make mini-cakes in them.

I remember it very well. One Christmas yeeears ago, one thing I wanted most was a pink power ranger doll. That Christmas, I got sooo many presents. There must've been 30 under that tree from Santa. The only thing that wasn't there was the Kimberly doll.

Ah yes, the ever elusive Easy Bake Oven - that would top my list. I'd even have gladly taken a second hand one. I was chubby enough as a kid, probably good I never did get one!

The other thing was a Light Bright. I also wanted the Barbie Camper but knew that would be a stretch to get.

A lot of gifts I got (like Spirograph and Pendulart) my dad ended up playing with most of the day. I'd have to wait until he passed out after dinner to get at them.

That reminds me of Robert & Ray on Everybody Loves Raymond. Was every Christmas like that? I sure hope not.
