Default House and Cuddy

I'm not one for thinking about shipping on this show. Yet, if the producers are seriously thinking about setting House up with either Cameron or Cuddy, I think Cuddy would be the better choice in this matter. After watching several episodes this season and after re-watching some of the episodes on my season three DVD, I found the interaction between Cuddy and House to be a bit more interesting. Here's why I think this pairing could work for a bit.

First, House and Cuddy are closer in age.

House and Cuddy have known and have been friends with each other a long time. Cuddy was House's attending when he had the infarction. She knows what he's been through. She accepts him for what he is even though he could be a real jerk.

On his end, he's already dismissed Cameron. He never wanted to go on that date with her. As for his kiss with her in "Half Wit", he only kissed her back because House is House. In that same episode, when House goes to Cuddy's house seeking approval for the right brain removal of his patient, he has a playful exchange with Cuddy displaying the way they understand each other. House is always examining her "assets" and even followed her on a date continually pestering her until she asks him, "Do you like me House?"

I can cite several more examples, but I'd be here awhile. Overall I think House and Cuddy compliment each other far better than House and Cameron.

I only examined this after reading that the two-part expisode which was supposed to be filmed for after the Super Bowl would have involved the advancement of either the House/Cuddy or House/Cameron relationship in a "big way."

Darn this writer's strike!

I am all for House and Cuddy. I never really bought into the whole House and Cameron thing. Sure, they have their moments, but House and Cuddy have much more chemistry, all the time. She always stands up for him and has never fired him through all the problems he has caused. I also love how one minute they can be standing there talking and the next they could be kissing. Expecially in "Joy" and "Under my Skin".
