One of my favorite ladies of the seventies was Teresa Graves, who started out as a member of the singing group "Doodle town pipers" and Laugh-in. I loved seeing her as the sexy Det. Christie Love and watch the show every Wednesday till it was cancelled. I have the t.v. movie on vhs that was the pilot to the show and thankfully have two episodes of the show. I am hoping that there are many out there like me who enjoyed this lovely lady's work. Sadly she past away 10-10-02 from a fire in her home. If there is someone who as a few episodes on tape, let's talk

That was one awesome show. I so loved to watch it back in the 70's. Teresa died a horrible death. So sad.

I know. She sure did. I always wanted to meet her. I never got the chance to watch the show but do remember her on "Laugh In". She had such soul. I loved her on that show. |

As the story went. Teresa Graves was taking care of her mother, so she built an added bedroom to her home. the room wasn't completely finished so she let her mother sleep in her room and teresa would use the unfinished bed room. because the room did not have heat , Ms. Graves used a space heater to keep warm, but sadly the heater shorted out in the middle of the night while teresa was asleep and the room caught fire. the fire men came to find her slumped on the floor and took her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. amazing was that many of the neighbors did not know of her fame.

I was disappointed when I heard that news about her. I wonder what part of LA she lived in?
