Default Is there a cable channel that has NOT jumped the shark yet?

Seriously, I'm having trouble thinking of one. Let me know if you can.

I would say TBS. They remain the same and are loyal to their shows Mama's Family, Saved by the Bell, Seinfeld, Everybody loves Raymond, Yes Dear. Although Mama is gone I do wish that they would get it back.Although they add new shows they don't dismiss the old ones. I love watching Seinfeld on TBS.

It means you think that channel has gone significantly downhill, and most people seem to think that about almost every cable channel right now.

ABC Family is still pretty good, and is actually a lot better at this point then it was even 3 or 4 years ago, and it's a LOT better then it was in it's early days, or when it was Fox Family.

other then that, besides like, The Weather Channel and The History Channel, none come to mind.

I don't think TNT "Jumped The Shark." It's been "The network for drama" for what, ten years now? It was getting close to "jumping" with the daily 17 Law & Order reruns, but they've died down in the last year or so. Now if only they cut back on Charmed...

TCM is the only one I can think of. Most of the rest have veered away from the original intent, some for good, some for bad.

I'd have to agree with ABC Family. They have always stayed true to airing modern classic sitcoms, no matter what year it was. They've also branched out their sitcoms into the mornings, which was a huge step up. Although lately, I've been watching less and less, I'd say they're really close to jumping.

Yeah, the Weather Channel-LOL. I rarely go there for my weather update. They seem to air the weather listings (which are about 10 degrees off every day) from 10am-2pm, then the rest of the day weather specials. Sure, they want to get ratings too, but I'll bet more people would watch if they'd actually just give us the weather!

ANd to whoever said TBS, I'd have to strongly disagree with you. Sure, they've kept sitcoms, but they have about half the variety then they did in the 90's. Not only that, but half their shows suck, and they're primetime lineup always consists of Seinfeld, ELR, and Friends. Anyone remember the days when they were airing the hits of all eras all day long?

OH GOD YES! Who the hell finds watching tornados interesting? Really now. That is so damn boring. That is like watching paint dry. What is next? A camera that captures earthquakes waiting to occur?

Just like you Sonny, JUST GIVE ME THE WEATHER DAMNIT!!!!

AMC don't consider a movie made three to five years ago to be a classic. USA with all the reruns of law and order and its many spin offs the only thing saving it is wrestling. SCI FI been going down hill for five years. The reason cable channels are jumping the shark is because they are all owned by either the big three or Ted Turner no room for the independent stations. The 80s and 90s can be considered the golden years of cable.
