LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Law & Order" will rejoin NBC's schedule in January, with two additions to the cast, along with recycled episodes of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," which had been relegated to USA Network.
The 18th season of "Law & Order," featuring Jeremy Sisto as a new detective and Linus Roache as a prosecutor, will kick off with a two-hour premiere Wednesday January 2 and reclaim its longtime Wednesday 10 p.m. slot the following week, when "Criminal Intent" launches as its lead-in at 9 p.m. Both shows were the subject of intense cancellation speculation last season because of low ratings. "Law & Order," which suffered when it was shifted from its longtime Wednesday berth to the Friday dead zone, made the cut. But first run episodes of spinoff "Criminal Intent" were moved to sister cable network USA. Reuters/Hollywood Reporter |
