Will they ever release this special on DVD?
I remember seeing it as a kid.Ralph somehow wound up in the role of Scrooge in a version of A Christmas Carol.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it. At least for right now.

I did a tape trade with a guy who posts here named Videowack. One of the episodes that he gave me was this special. I watched it and I think it has to be one of the funniest Honeymooners "episodes" ever. It has a lot of inside jokes and a bunch of other funny moments like the snow cascading onto the cast like a thud. After watching this special, I can say that this Honeymooners Christmas Special is my favorite one.

I like all of Jackie Gleason's Christmas themed programs, but my all-time favorite is "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" followed by the Poor Soul in Fairy Tale Land on The Jackie Gleason Show. Both are required viewing for me every year. It did not occur to me for years that the Honeymooners episode completely takes place in the Kramden apartment. The ending never fails to move me as Gleason strips away the tinsel to reveal that even in Bensonhurst, it's a wonderful life.
