Default When you give gifts to people....

do you expect them to give you a present in return on xmas day?

for me, it doesn't bother me at all. just as long as he/she say thank you afterwards to me, then that is good enough for me

No, when I give a gift, I don't really expect anything in return. But a thank-you is always nice.

I love to give gifts to people...I don't expect anything in return. Their love, their friendship, their respect, are all reasons I give them something to begin with, to show my love in return. I get a kick out of giving gifts.

No, it's not necessary for me to get anything back. I just want them to enjoy the gift. Just their smile and happiness is enough for me.

No, I never give to receive; however, I hate when I give a gift to someone and it's not acknowledged. If I mail it to them or give the gift to another person to pass along, and I never hear a word about it, I get aggravated. I don't like to be over-thanked, but if I give a gift, or even do something nice for someone, I do expect a simple thank-you.

I love to give presents too! And I love it when I have the power (or money if the situation calls for it) to give someone something they reeeaaallly want. That makes me as happy as they are! I guess I've never really thought about the thank you, although it is nice-- because I like to give my gifts in person and sometimes just the looks on faces or the speechlessness is pretty cool in and of itself. People usually do thank me though, so that's probably why I hadn't thought about it.

I was referring to the times when I mail something to someone. I always appreciate a call or even an e:mail to let me know they received it, and say thank you. I always thank people when they go out of their way and do something nice for me. Please and thank you, my mother taught us that at a very young age.

I don't expect or want a gift. But, please oh please, if it's something I mailed to you, please let me know you received it.

You're damn right I do. Just kidding. No, I really don't expect something in return.
