Default Your Fave Christmas Episodes on a sitcom or drama

LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE: Christmas on Plum Creek is the Ingalls' family first Christmas and they each try to be secretive abt the gifts they are giving each other. Laura buys her mother a stove by selling her beloved horse, Bunny, to Mr. Olsen for Nellie. Very touching episode as Laura is saddened when she feels bad for her father who made her a leather riding saddle for her horse that she sold.

THE WALTONS: The episode titled DAY OF INFAMY. Mary Ellen Walton finds out her husband, Curt, who is in Pearl Harbor, may or may not have survived the attack by the Japanese. As she waits and ponders to hear of any news, she has flashbacks of how they met and married. She finds out at the end of the episode that her husband was in fact killed at Pearl Harbor. Later in the series, we see Curt "come back to life." He was only injured at Pearl Harbor. He feigned his death. I didn't like that episode at all.

THE JEFFERSONS: My fave episode is when George visits his old neighborhood, the one he grew up in as a child. He had made a promise he would never allow bad Christmas' to occur again in the apartment him and his family lived in. He would visit yearly to this particular apartment and leave money, presents, etc. Louise had grown suspicious of George, thinking he was being unfaithful. She learns of George's anonymous gifts to the family and she is touched.

FACTS OF LIFE: There are two episodes I love. One is where the girls perform for a group of men in jail. The girls sing Christmas songs.
The second episode is when Blair's mother gives birth to a baby girl on Christmas.

HAPPY DAYS: The episode where Fonzie has nowhere to go on Christmas but he lies to Richie abt his holiday plans because he doesn't want anyone to know he is alone. Eventually Richie invites him over to his home to celebrate Christmas with the family.

ALICE: When Alice, Flo, Vera, Tommy and Mel are in a truck and eventually get stranded. They start to eat away at a gingerbread house.

The Norm Show had a great Christmas episode. Too bad it was canceled. It was truly an underrated sitcom.

I've always been partial to the Lois and Clark and Adam-12 Christmas episodes. Kinda like the first one Full House did too. I know...

Riptide: Home For Christmas is such a great episode.
Happy Days: Where Heather wants Ashley to make up with her parents and Howard's brother comes and they get in a fight.
Full House: Our Very First Christmas Show and A Very Tanner Christmas. I can't choose just one because those are both great.
Who's the Boss?: Requiem

I will think of more later.

LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE (pilot episode, in which Mr. Edwards (Victor
French) shows up unexpectedly with a snow in his beard and Carrie yells:
"Santa Claus!!")

HAPPY DAYS (the Fonzie episode mentioned in the first post)

EVENING SHADE (with Herman Stiles (Michael Jeter) mangling the words to
"Winter Wonderland")

I LOVE LUCY (with FIVE Santas (Lucy, Desi, Ethel, Fred and "the real deal"))

That's all I can think of at the moment.

My very favourite is Guess Who's Coming to Christmas - Happy Days. For straight LOL comedy nothing beats the Married with Children episodes. On the dark side, 70s crime dramas How Cruel the Frost, How Bright the Stars - Kojak and Little Girl Lost - Starsky & Hutch.

THE ODD COUPLE-"SCROOGE GETS AN OSCAR"

the "WKRP IN CINNCINATI" one where they do a parody of A CHRISTMAS CAROL with Mr. Carlson as Scrooge, Jennifer as the ghost of Christmas past, Venus as the ghost of Christmas present, and Johnny as the ghost of Christmas yet to come.
