this is for albums you had expectations in and it didn't live up to your hopes, what were those titles for you?
For me: Prince - Planet Earth (3121 was his best album in a decade so there was a lot riding on the followup and instead it was one of his most mediocre efforts since he was trying to get out of Warner in the 90's and released weak albums) Bjork - Volta (the album was supposed to put her back on top and "Earth Intruders" kicked a lot of butt but yet of the ten tracks, five were great and five were utterly boring and forgettable) |

I actually really like Planet Earth. I work with a guy who is a huge Prince fan and he really likes the album too. Even though it is no Purple Rain, 1999 or Dimaonds And Pearls, I still think that it is an enjoyable album and I'm sorry that it didn't sell better. |

The one I was most disappointed in was Shonen Knife's Genki Shock (Although I do kind of like the album cover by lead singer Naoko Yamano's 4 year old daughter Emma!
)...Fortunately, their new album Fun Fun Fun is their best in 5 years!

I can't believe I am saying this but the one I am most disappointed with is Robert Plant and Alison Krauss's Raising Sand. I mean Alison sings great but the instrumental part just sucks. It sounds like the CD was recorded in a Kitchen. It reminds me of music that was played back in the old west, like the music played when those people went from town to town doing side shows at taverns. But I just can't believe that as good as Alison is that she was part of this CD. Oh well I guess everyone has to have one bad CD they can’t be all perfect. I was sure sorry I bought this one. I don't like any of the songs on the CD. So I wouldn't recommend buying this CD.
