Ditto. And I didn't like the way they had Nancy Mckeon's hair. Loose the bangs, they don't look good on her. This ep was lame. And they didn't show any previews for the next ep.

I missed it
OMG, I totally forgot about the time change so when I turned on the tv 'Any Day Now' was on...what a disappointment! Based on your reviews of tonight's show it doesn't sound like I missed too much.

This episode doesn't rank as one of my favorites. One thing I'm disliking about Lifetime is hyping one storyline on the previews that accounts for maybe 1/3 of the show if we're lucky.
I actually liked the Captain's storyline. With the emergence of being able to analyze DNA evidence and handwriting samples it was conceivable to reopen the case. Not to mention the fact she was a woman working with an older man 15 years ago and her opinion didn't amount to much. That story was about all I liked tonight. Jinny, Madga, and Jinny were basically wallpaper. They needed to do something that added to the Captain's storyline instead of detracting from it. Well Angela did help with the case, but she didn't have much dialog (I did love the part when she second-guessed the Captain). CD-In the past episode that she and Jinny worked the rape case we were basically told she was raped. I think we are to assume that ever since that case she and her husband (who I agree is a major slimeball) were having marital problems and this was the episode that everything came to a head. Poor writing is my excuse. They should have built this up over several episodes instead of dropping it and then bringing it back up again. It's not completely inplausible that CD had swept the rape under the rug and then the case she worked with Jinny brought it back up again. The show's writing need's to be much better with the longer-arch stories including Jinny's drinking for the show to be top-caliber. |

Amen JJ. This episode was the worst one yet. I also agree about Nancy's hair. It makes her look like a little school-girl. In addition, she seems to have found a new wardrobe this week. Between her bangs and the new found love of turtlenecks, I don't buy the tough-girl tomboy image.

I agree! This episode, well, sucked. The case that was reopened was good though.
I HATE Jinny's hair like that! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN NEXT WEEK?????? THEY HAD NO PREVIEWS! They're showing the pilot episode next week.
My question is this: I've never watched a Lifetime show seriously before and how do the seasons run? Any Day Now had it's season finale last night, so what does that mean for the Division? You would think they would run on the same sort of schedule but I guess anything is possible. |

Thanks for the recap, leslie. Even though I have enjoyed most of the episodes and think that the acting has been very good, I agree that the writing definitely has some room for improvement.
