Default Christina Aguilera Bares All On Marie Claire Cover

Mother-to-be Christina Aguilera has followed in the footsteps of Demi Moore and Britney Spears - by provocatively stripping to reveal her bump on the cover of America's Marie Claire magazine.

The Dirrty hitmaker proudly displays her bulging belly as she poses with nothing but a cropped leather jacket to hide her modesty - a trend started by Moore back in August 1991 when she appeared nude on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine, while a pregnant Spears bared all on the cover of Harper's Bazaar in June 2006.

In the interview, Aguilera reveals that her pregnancy with husband Jordan Bratman had been planned - but that she never dreamed it would happen so soon.

She says, "We were planning on starting to try after the (Back to Basics) tour. And so, I had gone off the Pill to prepare my body, because I didn't know how much time it would take. You've heard it takes some time - except with Power Egg and Super Sperm here. I'm like, 'Oh, my God, can you believe it just happened?'"

Aguilera is expected to give birth to the couple's first child early next year.

OK, I know I'm going to catch hell for this, but 1)I hate the term "baby bump". Don't know why, I just do.

2)Some people think that a pregnant woman is beautiful. Maybe it's because I've never been pregnant, but when a pregnant woman shows off her big stomach, that is something I certainly don't want to see, even on Christina, who I like & who I think is attractive. If I had a big stomach like that and I wasn't pregnant, I know alot of people would think it was disgusting. I think a big stomach is a big stomach, and it does not look good, whether you're pregnant or not.

When did it become the "in" thing to show your pregnant belly? I see women walking around with half-shirts and capri pants. Even the ladies with that dark, ugly line on their belly can't keep these ladies from showing the world they are pregnant. Or the ladies with those ugly stretch marks, there they are showing us.

I remember on ROSEANNE when Jackie was wondering when she was going to have the baby, she wanted it out of her NOW...and when she lifted up her top, you see this huge belly and that dark ugly line going down her stomach!!! And Roseanne made me when she asked her what was wrong with her belly button? She referenced was that the timer that would pop out when she was "done"?

That's pretty much what I meant but, Irene, you worded it so much better than I did.

And believe it or not, I was thinking about that scene on Roseanne, too!! I also love hearing the reaction from the audience!!

Thank you. The audience laughed so hard at that scene. I guess Laurie has the distinction of being the only actress to show her pregnant stomach on a sitcom.

Pregnant, yet still the hottest chick in the industry with the best voice to match. Simply a modern-day legend.

Here's the rest of the shoot! :
