Default Can't get into it ...

I see it ran many seasons so I recorded an episode to see what I was missing..and still can't figure it out. ShallI try again?

Keep watching a few more episodes. I find sometimes it takes a bit to get into the characters with some shows.

I've found I might try a show or even a few and not like it, but then I'll watch it again a year later and end up liking it (wierd!)

Although with Wings, I didn't like the last season or two as much - they were stretching it by then.

And if you're watching the current ones on TV Land...the show hadn't hit its stride yet. Tivo another one around season 4. 4-6 were the best IMO.

Give it another try. You might find you really like it. If you don't, it's no big deal. Everyone has different tastes in shows. Lord knows there are quite a few popular sitcoms I could never undeerstand the appeal of.

Yeah, one episode is definitely not enough in most cases. I had to see more than one episode of this show to start liking it myself.

You definitely need to watch more than one episode. Some of the episodes in seasons 4 and 5 are my favorites!

Things I loved about Wings was.

The ending of most episodes were cliff hangers, almost like you would say you can't end the show here, what is going to happen next.

That alot of the story lines continued from episode to episode, unlike most sitcoms.

The fact not all their problems were solved in one episode, the problems continued over to other episodes.

They actually remembered people and things from past episodes and talked about things that actually happneded in past episodes. Unlike most sitcomes something that happens in an episode is not mentioned again.

Like when Brian and Casey burned down Joe and Helen's house they mention it again to Brian and Casey in another episode.

Also when Joe and Helen Burn down Brian and Casey's house, the insurance agent comes and Joe says they think the fire was set intentonally because you burnt our house down last year.

Also Antonio was talking about when he first came to America he worked at a restaurant and at the beginning of Wings he actually did play a worker in a restaurant, that Joe and Helen tried to get a Valentines date at but they both kept messing it up and going to the wrong restuarant.

Lowell Kept talking about past things Bunny his wife did on alot of episodes.

The show knew how to keep your attention, I think.

Most show didn't do theses things, most shows not including (Roseanne) solved all their problems in one episode, and what happened in one episode, usually was not mentioned again, like it never happened. and they never had cliff hangers either.

Hughpuppies, those are reasons why I like shows like Wings too. I also love how the characters were people I could relate to and actualy take in interest in.

I can relate as well. Just the other day I saw a girl get mad at a guy, then I phoned up EVERYBODY I knew and told them "Come here, we may be able to see a boxing match!" Whenever people talk to me I also roll my eyes, pause for a minute and say "uh.....ya..." just because I think it adds a personal tinge of comedy my good ol man.
