Default How old were you when you first began watching I Love Lucy?

I was 6 years old and I haven't stopped since.

I was born a couple of years after ILL finished production and it was always on in daytime reruns at our house in my early years. So I get the idea that I must have picked up the dialogue and anxiously emerged into the outside world ready to see what Lucy and Ricky and Fred and Ethel looked like.

I was about 13 and it was on Valentine's day lol. I was up late on the phone with my friends, just chatting and flippin' through the TV stations when I saw 'some crazy woman playing in chocolate' I watched it and loved it. Here I am. End of story.

I believe I started watching when I was in the 5th grade. I remember that summer ILL use to come on late at night and I would stay up to watch ILL, White shadow and Good times.

I started watching the reruns of it when I was in third grade,so I guess I was around 8. It was on in the afternoons when I got home from school and it always made me laugh.

I was pretty young myself. One of our local stations aired the reruns and we discovered the series on video (this was before DVDs). Not only that, we discovered great movies like Long Long Trailer, Forever Darling, and Yours, Mine & Ours. Those were great times.

I don't remember the exact first time. However, very early on, maybe 1989 or 1990, TBS had a marathon and I taped it. I believe it was called "Yule Love Lucy," which makes me think it was around Christmas time.

Anyways, when it came to Nick at Nite, I watched it a little. In 1995, I decided to tape every episode. I came close, getting all but one. However, i watched those early episodes over and over and over again, until I grew sick of them.

Now I own the whole series on DVD and I'm gradually getting back into the early episodes.

TV

I was in my mid-to-late twenties, and it was in the 1970s in syndication. (In
the 1950s', we were only able to get one channel, the local NBC affiliate.)
Then I started watching it again, on TV Land, in the 1990s.

I was aware it was ON when i was two or three but became a BIG FAN when i was five back in '55. And have been watching it regularly ever since. The best period was the mid sixties when even here in Canada i was seeing the show three times a day and also The Lucy show three times a week, and one of them even in French, LOL! So that was Lucy shows 18 times a week plus her on guest shots, talk shows and quia shows. not to mention all the write ups in magazines and newspapers, what a great time that was!
