Question Your Christmas Shopping List?

The last few years, I've been giving mostly gift cards to malls and restaurants. I add a Hallmark calendar, Yankee Candle or Godiva chocolates to personalize it a little.

What are you buying your family and friends this Christmas?

I'm having trouble figuring out what everyone wants I have a few things

Brother- He wants the Monty Python and the Holy Grail movie
Sister-in-law- I'm going to get her some baby scarpbooking stuff since she is going to be having twins here in 2 months
Grandparents- Me and my brother and sister-in-law are going in on getting them a digital picture frame
Aunt & Uncle- Gift card to the resturant Valentino's - It's a Nebraska chain and they eat there alot
Mom- Going in with my dad and getting her a new microwave
Dad- Don't know yet? He already bought my gift idea which was a GPS that my mom and I were going to get him
My other Aunt- Don't know yet
My Best freind- Don't know yet, I usually get her some gag gift type thing
My Boyfriend- I got him some Dr. Pepper pajama pants and I want to get him a dr. Pepper shirt to go with it and I also want to get him the 3rd season of 3's Co.
My Boyfriends Grandma- A snowman blanket
My boyfriends parents- I usually get them some type of food product, last year I got them some hambuger steaks that you can only get in my hometown
My boyfreinds and my friend Jeff- I usually get him some huskers stuff since he has a huge husker room
My Bible study group - We usually do a gag gift type thing where we all bring one gag gift and then we put the gifts in the middle of the room and then we go around and each of us pick a gift
Work- We do the same thing as the bible study group except we don't buy gag gifts just gifts that cost up to 10 dollars

I am the exception of most of the American society. I don't really do Christmas shopping.

I like to do gift certificates to someone's fav store. However, I always get more gfit cards at Trader Joes's than anywhere else. You get such fantastic value at Trader Joe's. If there is a Trader's near you they are a must visit, but go early, as the longs can get long esp. now.

My wife usually does all the shopping for friends and relatives.

As for my wife, I am buying her a ring and a diamond tennis bracelet.

I'm not really going overboard this year since I'm broke, but I have a few things picked out for people:

Mom: Gift certificate to Kohl's (she doesn't really want anything else)
Dad: Gift certificate to Border's bookstore
Grandma: I'm either going to get her something cute for around the house (she likes decor that has an apple theme to it) or a pair of comfy pjs.
Grandpa: Again, something useful for around the house (he likes odd gadgets, lol).
Best friend: a book and something Snoopy related (maybe a calendar or a snow globe?) She's coming here to visit in early December, so I'm giving it to her then

And I also might get my Poetry professor a Shakespeare action figure as a Hannukah gift I still haven't decided whether to do that or not!

I'm getting my 12 year old nephew something Star Trek related; since he's into that now (just like his uncle!) and I don't know yet what I'm buying for everyone else.

Dad; DVD's he wants, I already got him a huge universal remote to go with his giant screen TV, his Hess truck, more stuff that I can't think of right now.

My sister; she's a huge I Love Lucy fan so maybe a Christmas ornament, a throw blanket, and other stuff like that.

My brother-in-law; I have no clue

My niece (13); Jewelry and makeup type stuff

My brother; Something for their new house

My sister-in-law; Something for their new house

My nephew (7); Superman, spiderman, and star wars toys. I already got him a castle with knights play thing.

My niece (3); Teddy bear (kid loves her teddy bears), a doll or two, some outfits, playdough, some other toys as well. I'd love to get her a dollhouse if my brother/sister-in-law haven't already.
-we always go all out for the little ones-
