Default Wonder why TV ONE never picked up the Jeffersons since 2004

I really hope it's not because it's not ALL BLACK like Good Times and 227 and ROC. Because that would be just plain stupid. Really wish the Jeffersons was on TV one since Good Times is shown UNCUT and that would mean fans could see uncut eps of season 7 to 11 while waiting for them to come out on DVD?

Maybe TVLand has a specific contract to be the only channel to air the show.

They air NY undercover and there is that one actor who isn't black.
Wanda at Large also airs, isn't there some non-blacks on that show?

Do you know how long TVOne has been on the air?

I just made that comment abt the contract. Aren't there times when a specific network or channel that airs shows in syndication gets exclusive rights to air them and no one else can? Isn't that how it is sometimes?

I haven't a clue abt the whole "acquiring shows for syndication" thing.

Well GT doesn't get as much exposure on TVLand, they chop, dice and slice that show but good. Imagine if ION aired Good Times...

I'm just sick of it, GT has been on cable for 5 years and it all started with TBS in 2002, then TV one in 2004 and TV land in 2005 and still on.

Jeffersons has only been on TV Land in 2002 then notjhing for 3 years and then a reappearance in 2005 on TV land.

The Jeffersons also airs on ME-TV, a Chicagoland TVLAND, but better.

I'm tired of Good Times also. It seems like TVLand and TVOne constantly air it. I was hoping after the launch marathon of the Jeffersons during Labor Day week 2006, we would have constant airings of it. I really want to see the last season and see what was so bad about it.
