I was surprised June forced Wally to get rid of his new hair do. But I was even more surprised Wally liked it. Seemed out of character for him.

It certaintly was not like Wally to follow eddie. June's main concern seemed to be "what will people think" more than about Wally. To ask the principal to ask Wally to change his hairstyle was out of line. I thought that he looked like Christopher Colombus.

It just struck me now how June went over Ward's head and went to the principal. I wonder what Ward would have said had he known.

Apparently nothing significant, as later when Ward considered out loud about telling Wally to get rid of the hairstyle, June said, "I thought we were going to follow Mr. Haller's advice." Thus, Ward must have known that she at least talked to him.

oh, I must have missed that!!!! I wonder what Mary Ellen and Julie Foster thought of it. That would have been a good episode.

That was a really funny episode...I still crack up every time they play that music when they show him with that hair

I think in those days it wasn't that uncommon to ask a school official for help with something like that...after all, if they could get the school to ban something (which it often did) then things wouldn't run rampant among the kids (in the 50's) since that's where they spent most of their time. It does seem completely out of place nowadays though...somehow I think a high school principal might laugh a parent right out of his or her office for a conversation like that nowadays.

I think Beaver invented punk rock hair or The Flock Of Seagulls hairstyle.

I haven't seen that episode in a few years.I either keep missing it or maybe TV Land rarely plays it anymore.
