The Division

I think that some fans like The Division just 'cause (Nancy McKeon)JO's in it. That's why facts of life fans like it for all the wrong reasons. i'm sure it's probably a good show, but it could never come close to the "Facts of Life". Nancy will always be known as Jo Polniaczek(or Pol-cheeze-niak/remember that eps.). And that's a fact. Nancy is a great actress who doesn't always get the credit she deserves. I'm glad that she has her own show now, but she was contemplating skipping the reunion over this. The Jo character is what made her famous and it should always be taken into recognizion. Division is a totally different show than the facts. The Jo charater could knock the Jinny character any day. stupid name-Jinny. Just making a point -Division should be watched if it's to relive Jo's Facts days. you've got N@N for that.

i never really got into the show so i can't relate to why other's liek it... but odn't you think this subject belongs on the division message board?

I don't watch the show just so I can think, "Oh that's Jo." I think Nancy McKeon is a very talented actress and just enjoy watching her. I also think that "The Division" is a good show, and there is no reason to say everyone is watching it just to watch 'Jo'. Nancy McKeon is not Jo, she is a seperate person and she will NOT always be Jo Polniaczak no matter what. I love Jo just as much as the next person, but no matter how you slice it Nancy isn't Jo. They may have similarities, but we shouldn't look at them as if they were the same people.

I'm with ks on this one. And also, I probably would've watched the Division whether Nancy McKeon was in it or not or even if I didn't know that was Jo from FOL. I didn't even know FOL existed until N@N because my Mom hates the show and I somehow missed it on USA. I like these types of shows. It's a good show and not in any way or form FOL and Jinny is definitely not Jo. Nancy is just a fantastic actress who can play these different type of characters and its sad that she get typecast.

I'm with KS and Leslie on this. I happened to see the first episode because I knew that Nancy McKeon was going to be on it, but I watch it now because it's a good show unto it's self. Nancy McKeon is a great actress, but she's not the only reason people watch the show. I think some of the main reasons I watch the show are:

A. Great show with good plots
B. Likeable characters. (well...I don't care for the Cap, but that's a whole other post.lol)
C. Great actresses. (Not just Nancy. I also happen to like Tracey Needham, and I like the job the actresses are doing with Magda and Angela also.)
D. It's just plain a cool show!

yeah, right, I agree as well. The reason why I started to watch it, is (surprise ) : Tracey Needham. Actually I never heard of Nancy before that. But now I will keep on watching it, because it plainly kicks a$$ as it is. Cast, characters, storys and everything else that helps to make it a wonderful show!!!!!

I'm with ks, lesliem, and mystery jo fan. True, I started watching it because of Fol and b/c I was a Nancy McKeon fan, but now I watvh the show because I ENJOY the show. I think it's a great show, and the characters, storylines, etc are all quite enjoyable. While I probably wouldn't even know about the show if not for being a HUGE facts and nancy fan, I now like the show because it truly is a great show. (So put that in your pipe and smoke it!! )
