Friend's Ex: Needs Help - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

To make a long story short; my friend's ex needs some serious help fast.
Just recently, he was staying with her along with their son, and a friend.
He's married but, his wife who's pregnant with his baby kicked him out because he was physically abusing her, now she's going to file for divorce.
They've been married for about 2 yrs. He also has two other kids with another woman so, he now has 3 kids, and a baby on the way.

So, he was just picked up by the police on wednesday night because he was going on the internet and luring kids on there for sexual reasons. He has a criminal past but, for the past 10 yrs. or more; not sure, he was doing ok.
Now, it's a real mess because he's in prison now waiting while they do the investigation and everything. On wednesday when they came to my friend's apartment to get him; there were about 10 policemen, searching her place, questionning them and they took her 3 computers so they could check on the sites he went to and so forth. Her sister bought her a new computer now.

I feel so bad for her cause she doesn't need this right now; she just lost her mother last month to cancer, and her son who she has with this loser is really upset now because he loves his father. Her son will be turning 13 in April.
In my opinion, his life is over; her ex I mean because he did this and everything. My friend has full custody of their son, and she just told me that even if he ever does come out, he will have no more rights to him, no more visitation; nothing at all.

On top of all this; she told me last month or so that her ex also has bipolar.
For his immediate family; he has his father, a sister and two brothers.
We will have to wait and see what will happen to him. I will keep you posted.

Please, say a prayer for my friend, her son, and all those around her and his family and keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm feeling badly for your friend, but there's just one question that comes to mind with this story. Even though the guy is the boy's father, WHAT THE HELL IS SHE DOING ALLOWING HIM TO STAY WITH THEM????????

Especially when this clown's been picked up luring young kids on the internet???

She had no idea that he was doing this, even when he was with his wife; he was doing this, and even she had no idea apparently. Bottom line now is that he's in prison; may never get out, and even if he does, his life is over.
I told my friend the other day that she should get counselling for her son now before it starts creating problems for him with his own life and everything.

Definitely - maybe even just having a "Big Brother" would be a big help. Hopefully the creep never does get out of jail. Most pediphiles admit that they can't be "cured".
