Exclamation Audrey Meadows?

1) I just recently learned that Audrey was "on" The Simpsons; The Simpsons, "Old Money", where she did the voice of Bea Simmons, Grampa Simpsons’ girlfriend; her character died in that episode.
I'm not a Simpsons watcher so I was just curious if anyone had seen that episode?

-AND-

2) Audrey was apparently estranged from her sister and her sister’s family and had not been on speaking terms with them for at least a year. So, they were unaware of her illness. Jayne first learned her sister was hospitalized when she was on a Hollywood soundstage appearing on an episode of the short-lived sitcom High Society. She rushed to the hospital but Audrey was already in a coma, and later died.
Anyone know what went on there? I think that's so sad.

Default I did...sort of.

I saw part of that Simpson episode. At the time, I knew that Audrey had a guest role on the show. When I watched it and heard Bea's voice, I said to myself: "Could that be Audrey Meadows' voice?" Sure enough, it was.

The episode was made in '91. (On a side note: Who would have ever thought that as of 2007, The Simpsons would still be on the air?)

Wow, that is so sad.... If only she would have stopped smoking (((sigh)))

Another one to add to the long list. Humphrey Bogart, Walt Disney, and
George Harrison (to name a few) were all chain smokers who developed
lung cancer and left us much too soon.

Between 1915 and 1992, cancer was the second most frequently listed cause
