happy days season 3 coming out next week i believe on saturday 11/27/07
happy days season 3 coming out next week i believe on saturday 11/27/07 i wonder if todd and pavan found on the dd reviews anything about whether or not cbs/paramount has clearded all of the songs that the band did, on the episode they call it potsie love where potsie is singingto joanie put your head on my shoulders is cut out then we need to write to garry marshall and complain too him about cbs/paramount is doing, if they cleared all of the songs to what the band had originally did then the point is made if they did not garry marshall has to be notefied about this because its it getting out of hand. herre is is maling address f anybody woud like to plead there case but thats only if fans complain about it. I no there is so little that GM can do but hee is the question does he own happy days laverne and shirley and mork and mindy, i thought the producer and thee creator has the say so on what goes on with his show but here is the address it might work it might not but again garry has to no what is going with these decision making

I didn't really say it was this Tuesday. I was only saying that the 27th is a Tuesday, not Saturday as studd wrote.

Hey angelmark10...do you have a list of original music for HD S3 so we can compare it to the DVD?

Yep, I have a list. Like last time, these are from syndicated airings (TV Land, I think) and may not be 100 percent accurate. The songs are mostly in order, but there may be a few that aren't. If you have any questions about anything specific, I'll gladly check the episodes for you.
Fonzie Moves In replacement instrumental "Perfidia" by The Ventures Motorcycle "Cry" by Johnnie Ray "I'm Walkin'" (instrumental) by Fats Domino replacement instrumental "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)" by Doris Day Fearless Fonzarelli (1) "All Shook Up" (sung by Richie, Ralph, and Potsie) by Elvis Presley "Hound Dog" by Elvis Presley Fearless Fonzarelli (2) none The Other Richie Cunningham none Richie Fights Back "Hound Dog" by Elvis Presley replacement instrumental replacement instrumental Jailhouse Rock "Hound Dog" by Elvis Presley "Earth Angel" (instrumental) by The Penguins "Splish Splash" by Bobby Darin Howard's 45th Fiasco none Fonzie the Flatfoot replacement instrumental "Mona Lisa" by Nat King Cole A Date with Fonzie "Great Balls Of Fire" (sung by Potsie) by Jerry Lee Lewis "Love Me Tender" by Elvis Presley Fonzie the Salesman unknown instrumental Three on a Porch "I'm Walkin'" by Fats Domino replacement instrumental a fake, foreign-language version of "Rock Around The Clock" (sung by Richie, Ralph, and Potsie) by Sonny Dae & The Knights Fonzie's New Friend replacement instrumental unknown instrumental unknown instrumental "Honeycomb" (sung by Potsie) by Jimmie F. Thanks for the list angelmark! The set is not too bad. Two big problems, though...which the review will show. A few questions: what is "Wake up, Little Susie, Wake Up?" and "Ba Ba Love, Ba Ba Happiness, Little Oh Loneliness," those are there a lot. Are they replacement instrumentals or original stuff? "Dream, Dream, Dream, When I Want You" is also heard a few times, again listed as replacement inst. on the list...wonder if it is original?
All the Potsie, and the rest of the guys singing are intact. |

pavan much as i have called out cbs/ paramount for svrewing up the dvd set, i might just by the dvd set it would have been if they woud have cleared all of the original music, but any way i will give them somewhat of credit of clearing all of the songs that the band had originally did is on there i do not no how many songs they covered on the original version but if it is on there then that is cool but which songs on there music wise did they clear

I don't know what you're taking about by "band." There really was no band until later on. This season had a lot of just Potsie singing. "All Shook Up" was sung by Richie, Potsie, and Ralph at the diner at a table. The foreign-language version of "Rock Around The Clock" was sung by those three sitting on a porch.
You'll find out what is on the DVD in the review, when it is posted. |

"Bye Bye love" - also performed by the Everly Brothers (and shares the same songwriters as "Wake Up Little Susie", Felice and Boudleaux Bryant - which would explain them using it multiple times) - the lyrics actually go "bye bye love, bye bye happiness, hello loneliness..." "All I Have to Do Is Dream" was also performed by the Everly Brothers. I'm glad that they left the guys singing intact - it just wouldn't have been bearable without that. |

hey pavan what i was talking about about is in the third season when the show became popular i remember seeeing potsie and the band singing and performing allot of songs, you are right in the show there was realy no band, but i was so use of seeing them perfroming allot of songs. it would been nice if they had a name but we al no that it was just a comedy, one question, since potsie was actually the only one singing the songs with back up singers on the dvd do you think we will see all of the songs that potsie did on the dvd that is not shown on syndication peace.
