Default 30 Rock fans unite!

this board needs to get more active! anyone who thinks this show is awesome, post here and discuss why and your favorite episodes/characters and stuff.

for me...my favorite character is Liz and Jack is hilarious, too. and so is Tracy. and Jenna. and Kenneth. and Pete. and...everyone!

my favorite episode is probably either "Hard Ball" from Season 1 ("we need to stop Obama in his tracks! i'm voting for Osama in 2008!") or "Rosemary's Baby" from Season 2 (Jack's impression of Tracy's family is GOLD.)

30 Rock is awesome! I love it. It's one of my top favorites right now. It's definitely THE funniest show on TV. I can't get enough of this show!

Joe, I love all the characters too. This is one of those shows where ALL of them are hysterical. Liz Lemon is at the top of my list though. I love how miserable her life is. Usually that shouldn't be funny, but her life is so bad it's hilarious! Everything from her date with "the hair" (or was it "the head?") to her crappy ex boyfriend, to the torture she goes through on a daily basis on the street, in her own office, and even in her own home. You can tell Tina Fey is having a blast with the character, and really loves what she's doing.

Jack is at the top top of my list. Alec Baldwin is a comic genius. Who knew he could be so freakin' funny? He steals pretty much every single scene he's in. He plays well of of everyone. He has some of the best one liners ever. It's great how he says everything with his soft, scratchy voice, and is always so calm and serious about everything. And I love how he thinks all his ideas are these great things, but always turn out not too good.

Jenna also kicks ass! She's so outrageous with all the things she does to stay in the "spotlight." I still can't get over her appreciating that article/photo spread that magazine did of her, or her thinking bare feet was "in." And of course her cosmetic surgery last season, which kept her from showing any emotion!

yeah, i think Liz, Jack, and Jenna are my top favorites, but honestly, EVERYONE is hilarious, even down to the non-regulars like Toofer, Josh, and Cerie. and yeah, that magazine shoot was hilarious, when she mixed up the troops with drama troupes and said "they're just a bunch of gay guys that like to wear silly costumes and prance around!".

Well obviously my favorite character is Liz.... she's just amazing.

But Jenna has a very special place in my heart. I've been in love ever since Muffin Top.

When I saw the promo for that episode, I was kind of scared. It was hilarious though! Jack is the man!

My favorite episode from the last season was probably "Black Tie." Pee Wee Herman as the Austrian Prince was funny as hell. I was laughing so hard when he "crossed his leg" - I had to rewind the DVD, just to hear what they were saying.

I liked that Jack took Liz to the ball. That scene at then end when she thought he was going to kiss her, but it turns out he was only putting the necklace on her was classic. Jack pointing out all the women at the ball that he slept with was great too.

Jenna got in by showing the guard one of her breasts! She thought she was going to shack up with this good-looking prince, LOL. Him "winking" was funny. Him blowing out the candles on the cake and spitting on the entire thing was nasty though. And then he died from the grape in the champagne.

My favorite lines from the episode:

Jenna: Gerhardt, would you like to dance?
Gerhardt: Sadly because my body does not produce joint fluid, I cannot.

LMAO!

I didn't like it THAT much at first either, but when I watched it again, it became one of my all time favorites. I loved the Jack/Liz storyline in that one.

OH YEAH! It's also when we first met Jack's ex-wife, who was wonderful in all her episodes.

Another top favorite is when Liz leaves New York! LMAO!

I dont get why this and The Office boards have only a page, and Back to You has 3

Back To You had two pages even before it premiered! The show is great though.

I think the reason it has more pages is because people here at SO like the more traditional sitcoms. Personally, I enjoy ALL kinds of shows.

yeah, i'd agree with that reasoning. i like the old-school shows, but i think most of them in this decade haven't been too great, whereas the single-camera ones have really broken out and been great, so i like more of them. i need to watch The Office because i've heard really good things about it.

i havent seen Back to You though, so i cant comment on that.

yeah, Black Tie is an episode you need to re-watch to get completely. there's a lot of little hidden jabs. actually most 30 Rock episodes are like that, but that one especially.

and yeah, thats ANOTHER great episode...i love the scene where Floyd and Liz are walking through NYC and Floyd is talking about how crazy the city is, and Liz disagrees, despite the fact that she got stopped and searched, saw an old lady being pushed into a dumpster, and had a guy spit on her along the way

honestly, i think its just easier to list episodes i DIDNT like, because that equals like, two, at the most.

Those were my favorite parts of the episode!

I can watch this show all night long!

I agree. I thought all the episodes have been great, but one or two of the very first ones were a little slow. And "Hiatus" wasn't as great as some of the others. That's about it for my least-favorites though.

Sure is, but get the DVDs first cause they make references to other eps throughout the series and stuff.

Scrubs aka JD's Anatomy which is what its turned into, is awesome too
