Do you think Kelly's cooking (the dry cupcakes) will end up being a running gag for the show, sort of like Debra's cooking on Everybody Loves Raymond?

When the cupcake issue came up, that was the first thing I thought about.
It will be interesting to see if they keep that gag going, sort of as a shout out to Everbody Loves Raymond fans.

I hope not or keep it to a very rare joke. Otherwise, it looks like copying to me. I don't think we'll see much of Kelly cooking anyway.

I'm with you. It's been done so many times before . . .BTY shouldn't have to resort to repetitive humor like bad cooking.

It might be fun to have the bad cooking reference a few times. Its hard not to compare Kelly to Debra when watching the show.

It would be a funny if they kept it going, yet I think that both Patricia and Kelsey are trying to shed their former character's personas. Reminding viewers might defeat the purpose. I guess there's a couple of ways to look at it.

I think so to, but they probably made her cupcakes suck as a shout out to her old character (like someone said). It was a nice touch, and I'd be fine with it if it came up every now and then - just not every week.

I was LMAO when they tried to give the cupcake to the raccoon, and it ran away!

A funny gag? yes

A running gag? No

The funniest things that refer to past characters are funnier when they are done once or twice. If they do a running gag, it should be people running into Kelly and Chuck when they are talking about Gracie.
