TV Your cartoon guiltiest pleasures

I love SpongeBob SquarePants. I don't actively seek it out on TV, but if I'm in the mood for a little laugh and it happens to be on, I'll watch. I think SpongeBob actually has a lot of subtle adult humor in it.

I'm ashamed to be a grown working woman and watch this show, but oh well

Thumbs up

Don't feel alone. I'm 60 years old and, although I don't get the Nickelodeon
channel right now, I used to watch SPONGEBOB, JIMMY NEUTRON, RUGRATS,
THE WILD THORNBERRYS, all those cool cartoon shows. Yeah, some of the
jokes are aimed over the heads of the kids. And there's nothing wrong with
that; cartoons have always appealed to both kids and grownups, from Looney
Tunes to The Flintstones to Spongebob. Animation, when it's done well, is a great form of entertainment.

I have a five year old son and so of course one of my televisions is set on either Nickelodeon or Ntoon channel. I love SPONGEBOB. My youngest daughter got me hooked on him when he first came out. Now my son is all into S.Bob. I also love Drake and Josh. Those guys are funny. I enjoy watching Fairly Oddparents and Jimmy Neutron. When my daugher was younger she also got me hooked on Rugrats, Ahhhh Monsters, Doug and those other older cartoons. But overall, Ren & Stimpy is AWESOME! I love the adult references in cartoons. Spongebob has them quite often.

Before I ditched the Dish (Don't get satelite from Dish Network) I watched Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

I especially like Cheese.

Well, as an anime fan, most of my animation isnt really for kids but, I also enjoyed the Powerpuff Girls and many "girl's" anime, such as Sailor Moon (Still a fave), Escaflowne and Magic Knights Rayearth!

Yeah, I forgot about Johnny Bravo and the Powerpuff Girls. In the latter, I
especially enjoyed "Meet the Beat-alls," with all the Beatles reference
(which probably went over the heads of the younger viewers). Johnny
Bravo is cool because he talks like Elvis.

plus it was a very funny cartoon too. at times i did feel sorry for him, but there were also occassions where i thought he was a over-confident,vain buffoon. he was a male version of a dumb blonde! liked the animation as well
