As far as Primetime goes - a lot of my favorites usually aired during the 8 o'clock hour, but over the last 5 or so years, whenever I watch shows live, I enjoy the 10 o'clock hour most. That slot seems a little more calm then the other 2 primetime hours.
As for watching TV in general, my favorite hour is 1am - because that's when I mostly try to catch up on my shows from that night/week. |

I like watching TV after 8 PM. That's usually when I'm winding down.

Primetime: 9pm would win. I have a show every night in that timeslot. 8pm and 10pm would be close behind.
As far as watching things on my own though, anytime after midnight. It's very nice and quiet. Worst time: Pretty much anytime before 4pm, nothing on! |

I usually watch tv from 7pm to 10pm. It works out better for me that way.

8pm (central) seems to be the winner for me. 9pm is second. And that's it. I watch nothing at 7.

Like the majority here, I'd have to go with 8-10 p.m. (or "prime-time"). I'm
old enough to remember when prime-time began at 7:30 p.m. weeknights, before they gave that half-hour to local stations. I think the idea was so that local stations would have the opportunity to air "meaningful" shows like public affairs programs and educational stuff like that ... which, at least in our area (upstate New York) was a bit of a joke--the local channel just started showing repeats of old network sitcoms!

I've been really busy @ work so lately I watch very little TV. When work winds down, I'll probably watch a bit the early evening 8-10p
For now when I wake up in the morning I pop in a DVD of a fav sitcom & watch an ep while I drink my coffee. To me, it's a great way to start the day. |
