Default Did you like the Season 2 actor changes?

I miss the clerk and the lady prosecutor; the new ones are OK but I think the org. ones had more flair- what do you think?

I liked Lana, but Mac was a much better character, IMO. Lana really didn't have much chemistry with the cast except with Harry. I thought she was pretty funny though in that episode where she got high on cough medicine.

As for Liz, I never cared for her. To be fair, the writers really didn't know what to do with her and she never had more than a couple of lines per episode. I liked Billie, her replacement, but Christine was an even better replacement after Billie left.

Lana and Liz weren't too bad in the first season but Mac was better than Lana. Billie was good too, though Christine was better. If Markie Post had joined the cast in the second season instead of the third, what would the show have been like? Would it have been as good as seasons three through six? Not that seasons one and two were bad but the show greatly improved during three through six.

I was never really crazy about Billie. I thought she was a little too rough around the edges. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Markie Post was able to be on the show from day one. I thought she provided a softer balance which was needed with all the guys on the show. Mac I enjoyed much more than Lana. I thought he had better comedic timing to balance Harry's quirkiness. The character of Mac was great at bringing Harry back down to earth. The one character I wished could have been there for the nine years of the show was Selma. When I look back at the old episodes, I marvel at how great she was. She was the mother hen to the lunacy. When she passed, it truly was tragic because she was great. I would have liked to have known how her character would have handled Harry's situation with Christine.
