The shlock of most zombies usually turn me off,
but there are a few I liked:

4. I Am Legend - Not a bad flick, over-all. for what it was, I enjoyed it. Though, I agree with the popular complaint that the creatures appeared too "animated". I think a bit more effort into making 'em seem more realistically would've helped this movie. (BTW, I know most people refer to 'em as vampires, but they seemed more like fast moving zombs to me, a la 28 Days Later.)

3. Planet Terror - As I stated before, shlock has a tendency to turn me off. However, this one worked me. I don't know why.

2. 28 Days Later - Finally, some scaring looking zombies. This movie probably would've made it to my number one spot, if only it's second half hadn't veered away from the zombies so much & into the whole "the military being the enemy" angle.

1. Night Of The Living Dead - This was almost the "Blair Witch Project" of it's time. It has the a very documentary feel to it. And to my mind, it was the first time I had ever seen the idea of zombies as truly scary.
