I always wondered about a case. A heavy set white woman had gotten a job at a bank. She became a very trusted employee. One night it was time to leave and the guard let everybody out the door into a lobby. Then the lady said, "OH, I forgot something." She went back into the bank alone and went in a room and grabbed a stash of prepacked money. And then she left back out the bank into the lobby and joined the others. Then she totally disappeared in a cab and was never seen again. I think it was alot of money also? The one mistake she made was that she had allowed herself to be photographed one time at a party or something. Did they ever catch that woman? I don't know why but that case always amazed me and creeped me out a little. The creepiest souls are not those in the abyss but those that choose to walk amongst us deceitfully.

Oh yes thats one of our favorites! Her name was "Bonnie Wilder". I recently contacted the private investigator interviewed in the segment and she gave us some additional info. Here is the thread:

I thought it was a bank. I haven't seen it in 16 or 18 years, but I have a good memory though. I figured that was the tip of the iceburg, that shouldn't be real surprising.

How are people watching the episode? Is there a way I can rewatch the episode? I don't remember the specifics. For years I was hoping and hoping for an update of this episode and it never came. So thanks to all the contributors to the update, Madame PI and all. And for years I was wanting to rewatch the episode, now I know why I always seemed to miss it.

I say bring back UM. That was one of my favs.

I have an extensive UM collection with a lot of pretty rare segments never shown on Lifetime and I make compilation dvds full of UM segments and make copies of them for people on the board. Bonnie Wilder is on one of the "volumes" and thats how a lot of us are up on the segment.

I must say I'm impressed at how much you remembered considering you hadn't seen it in so long.

I'll have to get some of thoses DVDs sometime, especially the BW one. I was also thinking that I saw that in 89 and it did come out in 89. I'm good at dating events and memory. And you never forget the Bonnie Wilders and DB Coopers and Thomas Crowns.

Did they ever catch up to that guy with the big truck that was showing that frozen, supposely human-like, creature to people at carnavals? They let that guy get away, I hated that.

One of my new favs....the Bonnie Wilder episode rocks!

I thought the one with the ice man was pretty cool, but then again, I hadn't seen it since I was a kid--I was disappointed it wasn't on the Strange Legends DVD. I thought the pic was cool, who knows, it could have been real
