The "Pin" - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I just watched an episode on tv where the mother is going through menopause, and when they were both in bed; I noticed he has a (pin) on his pyjama top. Does anybody know why it's there, and the meaning of it?
The letters on it look like (SD) and I've noticed that (pin) before in other episodes. I was just curious; that's all. Thanks!!

I think that it stands for Sammy Davis Jr.

Yep! He died during that season, and Bill Cosby wore than pin to pay his respects for him.
