Does anyone else get pissed off by this storyline? This gag ruined The Hamptons for me. I mean, I know Seinfeld was supposed to be edgy and the characters most of the time are not meant to be nice but an innocent baby??? That's just a tad bit too harsh if you ask me.

I thought that it was hilarious. I didn't get offended because they did not use anyone's baby you just had to picture it. I probably would have thought differently if they would have shown the baby and called it ugly but since you never see the baby it was ingenious.

The show is about real life situations and who has not met a father or mother that thought their baby was the most beautiful baby ever. Maybe not to the level that makes everybody that sees the baby want to throw up, but that is what makes the show funny.

You never actually SEE the baby - if they'd used a real baby it would be a different story. As others have mentioned here, they left it to the imagination. THAT'S what made the joke funny.

Personally, I think Star Jones (not Seinfeld) has ruined the Hamptons for me!!

You know, I found Star Jones actually beautiful when she had meat on her. Not when she was really heavy, but voluptuous. Now, she looks like a damn bobblehead.

Eh, I liked it. Everybody only ever talks about how cute and adorable their baby is, and other babies. You never hear about ugly babies, which is why I got a kick out of it.
