I get a "KICK" out of Lucy! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I just paused the scene I was watching so I could come on here and post. LOL I am currently watching "The Amateur Hour." It's the episode where Lucy buys a dress and gets a job in order to pay for & keep the dress. Anyway, after finding a babysitting job that pays $5.00 an hour, she inquires within. Anyway, you know the rest. But, I noticed something I hadn't noticed before. Mrs. Hudson had brought the first Hudson boy over and was talking to Lucy. All of a sudden, he started with the "I'm hungry!" stuff and kicked Lucy in the shin. Here's the kicker (no pun intended). When she lifted her leg from him kicking her, you can see she is wearing a protective shin pad. I noticed this for the first time. I thought they kicked Lucy lightly and then looped in the sound afterwards for the network broadcasts. No wonder it sounded real. It was!

Yes, Madame x noticed this not long ago, there is a thread with pictures of the kicking scene you can quite clearly see the pads. Everytime i watch that episode i cringe because it looks so real.

Well, after years of watching this show and always CRINGING as she gets kicked by the little monsters, it's very comforting to know that she was padded after all. Guess we see it clearly NOW as the copies are so much clearer than those we used to watch on those old sets, LOL!

Irene-How do you insert a link to another thread in a post?

You bring up the webpage, site, etc. and the left button on your mouse you highlight the link in the search engine, this will highlight it with grey, you then right click that link and you will see your options to "cut" "copy" "paste" etc. You will want to "copy." Then you place that link by right clicking again and you will have the option to "paste." Copy and paste is the way to do this. Hope I explained that well.

Thanks! I tried to copy and paste but I didn't open the site first. That makes sense to me!
