Cracks in the walls?

Anyone else notice how the cracks in the walls of the Kramden apartment seem to appear and disappear?
This first picture is from Principle Of The Thing which according to the Lost Episodes aired on 4-30-55. The second is from Alice's Aunt Ethel which aired on 3-14-53. Why would the later episodes have the crappy walls? I know as the show went on the apartment looked a little better -less dark, few more things, and the walls improved.- but in these it's the total opposite -earlier episode has the better wall, later episode has the cracked wall?- Besides the walls and door (*notice the door knobs in these pictures*) does anyone notice other things that seem to go back and forth?

Here's A Promotion it was hard to get a full picture since the camera never pointed straight at the window but it gives an idea. It's sooo hard to get a good, clear screen cap due to the grainy condition the Lost episodes are in.
Anyway, I noticed something about the window breaking. If you watch Norton before he actually breaks the window he lifts the chair up kind of slowly to the window.. making it look like he just missed or something. When he pulls the chair back to try again there are two lines where he had pressed the chair that were not there before. I zoomed in on these lines while watching the episode and it looks like black marker or something. The second time he hits the window right on the markings and the window breaks.
