hi there Lucy fans i have a problem i didn't see anybody write this so am guessing it only happen to me so far but here goes i bought the i Love Lucy complete season box set on Oct 23 at a FYI and i opened it yesterday i didn't read the booklet and went straight to watching some episodes from season 5/6 after that i wanted to watch the Lucy goes to Scotland color episode plus the Lucy movie and put in the last disc so i saw that it was the three episodes of the lucy-desi comedy hour instead so i took out the booklet and saw that the movie/color Scotland episode is on a bonus disc but when i went to get it there was no bonus disc and i got really mad that someone forgot to include the bonus disc in my boxset so i wrote a letter to cbsdvd.com and told them my problem but they said they cant do anything cause i bought my boxset at a store rather then there online store does anybody know what i can do to get this bonus disc cause i dont have a clue on how to get it and i dont want to buy the boxset all over again

I think you need to go back to the store where you bought it. As long as you have your receipt, you should be able to trade it for another set. The store is the intermediary between you and the manufacturer, so they should be dealing with them.

What a shame that happened. I am sure the store will remedy that situation for you.

It's very disappointing to know something like this could happen. You look forward to something special and it is effed up.

It sure is. For that kind of money, there shouldn't be anything wrong with it. I imagine the store will do their best to remedy the situation since the poster paid good money for it.

Listen, i find it quite hard to believe that the ONE disc we pay that price for was not in there, you had better get it for sure, bad enough we have to buy something we already have to get that one bonus disc that they should have sold seperately in the first place, you had better not ever buy that again just to get a disc that anybody can make you a copy of if you can't get satisfaction where you bought the boxed set to begin with.

hi everybody i just wanted to say thanks to all of you for writing back and trying to help me out but the bad news is i tried and they said they can't take it back since i didn't return it the same week that i got it so am very upset i mean anybody else who got that box set would be upset too if they didn't get the bonus disc i guess i could do two things one find someone who can copy the bonus disc for me or give my set to one of my family members or friend's and just rebuy the box set but am not sure if am willing to spend the money again

Don't you think you should try contacting the distributor first? They should KNOW that someone got a set that is missing it's most important part, the bonus disc is the ONE thing that you bought that set for and to not have in there, well you should contact CBS or Paramount or whoever is responsible and have them mail you a new one. Barring that, then anybody else who has one can make you a copy of the disc, it takes mere minutes to copy, but i would try the rip off experts first, they should get this product out COMPLETE to the stores. Maybe someone , a Lucy fan no doubt, aquired the one disc that was worth taking from that box, but you should not have to pay the price for their stealing it.

I agree. Seven days sounds bogus. I would check the receipt and see if it says anything about seven days. It sounds to me the store just doesn't want to deal with it. I'd be steaming mad if they told me that. The store is supposed to serve the customer. We pay them retail prices for that service. I would demand an exchange, and if they push back, I would raise my voice and show a little anger so other customers can hear what's going on. Sometimes that works. They don't want their other customers to know they treat customers unfairly.

I'm having Internet trouble right now, but I think the link below will get you the information you need. If not, Google "fye return policy" From what I can tell, their policy is 30 days. Somebody at that store is feeding you a bunch of bull.

I'd complain online to fye and see if that helps. Did you pay with a credit card. If you did, maybe you can get the credit card company to help you. If you make a good faith effort with a store and they don't honor the effort, you may be able to return the set and get a chargeback.

hi everybody guess what i was able to get another boxset this time when i went back in today i told the lady here is my receipt here's the boxset and told her that i want to trade it for another one cause am missing the bonus disc and she said no problem now when she said that you should have seen my face cause like i said before when i went there the first time the guy said its too late and i told her i was like you know i came here before and talked to the guy that was working here he said i could not trade it for another or even get my money back cause i came back too late so i told her with the help of these nice people and reading the receipt i decide to come back and make sure i get one or the other she just smiled and said the guy must have been a dumb ass or a new worker here who didn't know how to handle it also when i went back into my car i opened the boxset and made sure everything was there this time so am very happy i would just like to say thanks to everybody for taking the time to write and helping me get a new set to everybody thanks and have a great night
