I loved The Sweet Dreams books!(Not to be confused with Sweet Valley) These were romantic books in the late 80's early 90's. These girls on the cover were so fresh-faced and cheerful, you jsut had to smile when you saw a cover....... Debbie Gibson(now known as Deborah Gibson) would have been perfect on one of these covers! In fact, I think I saw a girl that was a dead-ringer to Debbie!
I read about 32 of these books. I STILL have one of the books of Sweet dreams. It is called "Blue Ribbon Romance," and I bought that book for about 60 cents at a library book sale. I'm 23 now, and bought that book when I was 13. I am proud to say I have had this book for over 10 years! On the cover, the girl kind of looks like Rebecca from Full House. But, sadly, the Sweet dreams has been discontinued. The two books I've read the most from SD are HeartThrob and First Love................. Those books are AWESOME!:rock" One is about a teen celebrity just trying to look like a normal kid. (Heartthrob) Think Aaron Carter trying to pass as a regular "kid"'(Or young adult, I thinkk, as he is now about 20) The teen celebrity in Heartthrob, falls in love with his candy stripper nurse(or some kind of teenage nurse aid) The other one is about a girl who works in a restaurant and falls in love with a guy named David Saylor(who ironically works on the beach). This book is much more romantic than HeartThrob, however, but Heartthroob is a bit more interesting. i would recommend both books!
