ISO: Tales from the Darkside / Set comparisons? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Was discussing this with a friend recently and hoped to track down a nice set for our nostalgic enjoyment.

See from poking around that there are sets with six, nine and eleven discs circulating. Would be great if anyone could offer specs on these (or, even better, comparisons) in terms of sources, quality, menus, etc.

Even if you're not up for trading, I'd appreciate the input.

Hi,

I've got a couple different sets of TFTD, and I recorded a number of episodes myself direct from their original airings to VHS back in the 80's. A few of the episodes on each set I've obtained are about a 6/10 or 7/10 in quality. So I also recorded a number of episodes from Sci-Fi marathons for the ultimate in quality even if they are edited a little differently. And then I also obtained the original retail videos from eBay - some on laserdisc, and some on original VHS.

I have made a cross set of all of the above on 10 DVD's picking the best from each.

As a result, I think I have the best of all worlds. There are episodes as examples of each airing of the program. Since some are retail, and some are Sci-Fi, many are in great quality. Let me know if you'd like to trade.

I can get you a set free if you have nothing I want in trade if you can help me out with something online (signing up under me on a referral website).
