ER star Mekhi Phifer is celebrating after his fiancée Oni Souratha gave birth to a boy on Tuesday morning. The 32-year-old actor and Souratha welcomed their first child, Mekhi Thira Phifer, in Los Angeles at 6:47 a.m. local time.

The baby weighed in at five pounds and four ounces.

Phifer tells website People.com, "We are really happy and excited. He is beautiful."
