Question Smallest check you've ever gotten

I just got a cash back reward check from my credit card company. It was for $1.01 . Obviously I don't use my credit card that much. It's not as bad as the check my brother Jon got once. He closed a bank account and they gave him the wrong amount. So the bank ended up issuing him a check for 5 cents. I don't know why they just couldn't give him the nickel. He never actually cashed it though he thought it was funnier to keep. Has anybody else ever gotten a tiny check like that?

I can beat that....some years ago i got a serious illness , was sick for months and nearly died; during that time, I had to pay about $250 for meds and also during this time, the company i was working for gave us a new drug plan as part of the contract...now understand, I gave full receipts and I needed everything prescribed to live but, after the drug plan company "judged" that they WERENT necessary meds, they turned down 99% of my claim and after deductions sent me a check for 41 CENTS.....less than the 43 cents the stamp would have cost to mail out the form!

It wasn't me but my mom got a check back for 8 cents. I remember she went to cash it and the teller said she didn't think she could cash such a big check.

I don't think I've gotten anything less than $5. I did, however, write out a check for 83 cents once because I didn't have 83 cents in change and was someplace where they didn't take credit or debit cards (shocking, I know).

An energy check for about $4. You have to deposit those, they are not worth cashing.

My friend Brian got a check from Comcast for 2 cents. No joke. He was absolutely overjoyed to receive those two cents.

I got some sort of dividend from my insurance company based on something they did that was supposed to refund some money back to the policy holders. The check was for 11 cents. I was embarrassed to even take that to the bank!

I can't think of a small check, but I once got a credit card bill for 10 cents. My mom told me I should have just stuck a dime in the envelope. I got it waived instead. Like I was going to write a check for 10 cents.
