Talking Dental Check Up

I just got back from the dentist, and once again everything is good.
Before today, I had gone in January of this year, and then too was good.
I think the last time I had even one cavity was a year ago, or maybe longer;
I can't remember. I rarely have problems with my teeth.

How often do you go for a dental check up? Are your visits good or bad?
Mine are usually pretty good.

I visit the dentist every six months for a check up and cleaning. Ironically, I went last week for a check up and they took x-rays. Everything was looked good. About 3 years ago, they found a cavity, and a month later I came back for a filling. My insurance covered most of it, but after that, I ended up paying $110!

I go regularly but my check-ups aren't always good. I've had several cavities and I have a crown and a year ago I had a root canal. Two years ago I had a cyst removed from my jawline that they saw on a routine x-ray. Apparently it was a big deal because it was big and it was deep. Dental students came and watched the procedure. I also have gingivitis and some scraping that has to be done below my gumline. I didn't take good enough care of my teeth when I was a kid and now I'm paying for it.
