Like, for example, the Facts of Life Girls were not fat or skinny. Well, you had Mindy Cohn as the token "chubby" girl. But even Kim Fields, Nancy McKeon, and Lisa Welchel's weight sort of came back and went away for sometime. Most of the male kid actors from the Hogan Family did seem to have weight gain a bit, mainly Jason Bateman in the early years of Sandy Duncan for Valarie's replacement and kind of lost a bit of weight as he slimmed down in the very latter years of the Hogan Family. Even the pilot season of both shows that starred Ricky Shrodder in Silver Spoons and Soleil Moon Frye in Punky Brewster all had baby fat that went away in the next episode. So, while we are live in this world of "skinny is in" today, what do you think the weight control factor in the 80s for most actors(teens or adults)? While some of them never gotten seriously overweight, they always looked pretty good with the weight a bit. I mean, they were never thought as blimps and didn't resemble one, but I always wondered what would it been like with those crazy executives telling what to eat and what not to eat. I mean, I am sure they did cheat a bit on their diet and kind of agree to their terms, but I always wondered what was the body image like in the 80s...just curious to know.
