After my friend "Mark" told me that he had trouble cashing "future" checks, I decided to start a thread about cashing "future" checks. Future checks=postdated checks. Are any of you check cashers allowed to cash checks for dates that haven't occured yet?

It is up to each establishment, but normally no one will cash a post-dated check unless the person knows you very well.
Are you still with that loser?????? |

Most businesses are no longer allowed to accept postdated (aka "Future") checks as a standard rule, as many times these checks ultimately bounce, and by that point the buyer already has the merchandise.
And Janice, you *really* need to break away from this "Mark" character. He sounds like bad news. |

I used to work at a bank and we did not accept postdated checks under any circumstance. What if the person didn't have the money on that day? That's would be fair.
