You know how "The Lucy Show", "The Andy Griffith Show", "The Beverly Hillbillies" and even "The Dick Van Dyke Show" have public domain episodes that are always released on cheap DVD sets. It's always the same few episodes. Much like how the four public domain "episodes" of The Three Stooges are "Disorder in the Court", "Brideless Groom", "Sing a Song of Six Pants" and Malice in the Palice." So, choose 8 or 9 episodes that you would put in the public domain of "NewsRadio."
Here's my picks! Smoking Luncheon at the Waldorf The Cane Arcade Complaint Box Stocks Public Domain (this is fitting, lol) Chock Security Door That's 9 episodes I choose to go into the public domain. What are some of your choices? |

Smoking
The Shrink Bitch Session The Injury (since it appears on TWO season sets. Both are the edited versions though. The unedited version would be on this set) Arcade Movie Star The Real Deal The Public Domain (for obvious reasons) Towers If they ever did put out a cheap DVD of various Newsradio episodes, I wonder if the theme song would be replaced. I bought a couple of cheap Andy Griffith Show and Beverly Hillbillies DVD's a couple of years ago and neither of them used the original theme songs.

I bought a couple "Petticoat Junction" tapes a few years back and they had changed that theme song, too. That's why those "Ultimate Collections" for Petticoat Junction and The Beverly Hillbillies were able to say that their sets included the original opening credits. Which should be a given, but in this day and age, it isn't. |
