what images or memories of images did you have that once scared the crap out of you as a child? mine is the foetus of the child. here's a little story to go with it: when i was at school back in late 80s/early 90s, me and a group of pupils and the teachers went to a place in london called the science museum in central london. alas, we were learning about the human body and human reproduction and we were in the museum and we had a tour of the place. and as i know it, there i was looking at these images of the foetus with the black pupil and i was scared **** less out of it. it looked like an alien of some sort but of course it was just a foetus. but by god, i used to have nightmares about it!

im not sure they scared me but, i hated mimes.......as far as scary, these arent exactly images, per se, but, I hated going by cemetaries, one in particular ( Morgan's Point) that had a huge old mausoleum that said S.Thompkins 1888 on the front.....it seemed like a place a ghost might have "lived" , and really creeped me out! But, the thing that creeped me out most of all, was the statueof Canada's greatest military hero Gen. Brock! Stuck on the top of the Niagara Escarpment, near the site of the battle of Queenston Heights (War of 1812), the giant statue/monument/mausoleum seemed to follow thecar everywhere for miles, irt was like being stalked by a giant! I didnt really get over my fear of General brock until we took a school trip to the monument and walked up to the top! (It was hollow and you could walk up to the top, much like the statue of Liberty)
pics below: A mausoleum of similar style to the S. Thompkins grave and 2 views of Brock's monument |

I had a fear of japanese warriors, samurai warriors and kabuki. I would watch old movies of some type of samurai movie and my brother would later tell me if I didn't eat all my chinese food, one of those warriors would come looking for me.
Silly now, but back then... I was SCARED! So, anything related to warriors or the kabuki actors who would paint their faces white and have these fierce look in their eyes, only made my fear worse. Of course nowadays, I love asian stuff. I collect Buddhas and have some chinese lady dolls in my home. Not sure what the correct name is, Mikado would know, he is very knowledgeable in that area.I too was scared of the "V" Viacom thingy. I was also scared of the image of Lucille Ball's head that was shown at the end of her Lucy Show at the end of the closing credits. |

If you think THAT Bozo is scary, take a look at the original!!! (Played by Pinto Colvig; best known as the voice of Goofy)

I am surprised how many people I know in their mid-30's are scared of clowns for life. One of which pretty much told me that a lot of it had to do with Gacy when she was six or seven years old. Ever since then, clowns scare her to death, and keep in mind she is a mother yet her kids have to comfort her when she sees a clown, LOL.
