Default New Thing going on In Philly when it comes to Call Waiting on your Phone

When talking to someone and the person tells you to hold on their other line is beeping, once they click over they never come back-lol And I have asked 5 or 6 people at my job has this been happening to them and they said it's annoying

Is this going on in any other city besides this one?

I don't think it has anything to do with the city, LOL, But I've done it to people. Especially when I've been trying to get off the phone with someone and they just keep prolonging the conversation.

Ok, now you are just being silly or ignorant. C'mon Solomon, like Brie said, it is called "I don't want to talk to you anymore." Hell, everyone has had that sh*t happen to them or they have done it to someone (I know I have) for one reason or another.

It's RUDE irene and It's something that can end short friendships. I for one, have never in my life, click over on someone and never came back to the other line to say-"Can I call you back?

And that's why I hate the call waiting feature because it lets you know that it's someone out there MORE INTERESTING to talk than you and it really bothers me

It may be rude, but unless you confront or ask the person why they never came back on the line, you really don't know the answer. You are ASSUMING. Either ask them why they did that or just assume they didn't want to talk to you. I think you are going to rather assume rather than ask them.

You may hate the call waiting feature, but don't you have it on your phone?

There had been times when I've completely forgotten that I had someone on the other line. When my best friend was still alive, I could've been talking to someone else on the phone, but when she called me I would tell the person that I was talking to, to hold for a second. So when I would click over and it was her I would get so engrossed into the conversation that I would forget that I had someone else on the other line

Solomon, you have a short temper if you allow something like that to end a friendship. Too many things in the world to be angry at rather than a phone call.

That is the number one thing in life that instantly pisses me off, espcially when it a girl. When my mom does it not really a big deal but still ignorant but it's just something I have trouble dealing with

I have it on my phone but when I say I hate it, I wish it didn't exist at all and it wouldn't be a such thing as being pushed to the side when someone beeeps in because the line would be busy

Well, venting abt it here is not going to help you. You can deal directly with the people that do that to you by simply telling them, "No, I won't hold, you call me back. Bye." People can only walk all over you if you let them.

You've got to be kidding me Solomon. HELLO????? Tell me you are only joking. This happens to people everywhere and people do it to others all the time. What makes you think it is only in Philly? That's crazy.
