I bought 3 blooper VHS tapes from Movies Unlimited, and saw some of the first one with the McHale's Navy bloopers on it. The first 12 minutes are devoted to it. Then, after that, along with other shows, there's a few more mixed in with Ernie and then also Joe Flynn with Tim Conway on Ozzie and Harriot. I'll have to see if they show up as I continue to watch it. This one is 90 minutes. The other I have is 80 minutes, and another is on backorder.
Like Ernie said in the DVD bonus extra reunion segment, they sure did have a lot of fun. Joe Flynn was right in there with them, a riot. Joe was only age 37 when this series started, and I think the Alias Capt. Binghamtom eppy where he played Smoot the sailor was very indicative. That's Joe as a young man. It shows how amazing he is as an actor to be Binghamton. He has to look and act older. Joe is just incredible. I wish he was alive today so I could write him a letter. I will write Ernie Borgnine a letter. |

Yes, Tim Conway is in them. Most are with Joe, Tim, and Ernie, and the crew in the background at times. You'll recognize several of the scenes from the DVD season 1 and 2 sets. So, it's funny to see how they messed things up before they got a good print. This VHS tape is called Boob Tube Blunders. I've seen the first 30 minutes of it, and after the first 12 on McHale, there are a few more with Ernie, and then Joe and Tim on Ozzie and Harriot. Joe was a guest star on there at times. There may be more. I just haven't watched the rest of the 90 minute tape, about an hour left.
Another tape I bought at the same time was TV Bloopers which lasts 80 minutes, and I watched that tonight. Very good ! Kept my interest. Tim Conway is in this one as well with bloopers from the Carol Burnett show, about 15 minutes for that show at least. This one covers many other shows like Mary Tyler Moore, MASH, Gunsmoke, Laugh-in, Bill Cosby, Johnny Carson, Steve Allen, etc. It's very good. Those are the two tapes that have arrived. I have a third which is on backorder. This one is called "Best of the Golden Age of Television". |
