Hi,
Because Aaron Handy III (AH3RD) and all the rest of we fans of the original "Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour" DVD set were (and still are) disappointed over the fact the syndicated versions of both shows (airing separately, one at a time, Scooby first and Dog Wonder last) were used rather than the original film negatives representing the 1976-77 ABC airing, I would think that the boys at Warner Video should get a second chance, in the near future, to dig out in their vaults for the original opening and closing credit themes of this show (after the costs of restoration come down to a reasonable value). Thankfully, Handy III did get the audio of the closing credit theme, which he extracted via an audiotape recorder from a "Dynomutt" airing on USA Cartoon Express in the early 1990s (this version of the closing credit theme was not present on any of the first 16 episodes of the Turner/Cartoon Network prints). The visuals of the original SD/DH closing theme, as Handy III explains, had Scooby and Dynomutt seen above the flashing credit slates. What do you think? Ben Edge |
