I have always wanted to ask a question abt movies I have seen or just chat abt them but didn't want to limit the thread to just one movie. So, I generalized the thread title so that anytime you have a question, thought or just want to chat abt a certain movie or scene, you can do it here. Enjoy!
Let me begin with one movie I like, SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY starring Julia Roberts. I seen this movie the other day and it always irks me when I see certain scenes that just are not realistic. First, when Julia's character is ready to flee, we see her taking off her wedding ring and tossing it in the toilet. She flushes it. Yet, later in the movie, her husband finds the ring in the toilet, his first clue that she may not have died after all. Excuse me, but if I flushed my ring down the toilet, I would make DAMN SURE IT WENT DOWN THE TOILET. How could she have missed that? After Julia's character escapes from her abusive husband, she finds a home to rent in a small town...How was she able to rent this house without any references? Identification? Signing rental papers? She just hands over the lady cash and the house is hers. Never would that happen.
