Default My new guy friend

The guy I met at the bus stop is named "Mark"(not his real name).......... Mark is a sweet guy, but he has money problems.... He's says that he would be interested in "selling" on the side(I don't know what though), and he plays some of his paycheck money on Poker(He tells me that it is not rent money that he plays, and I hope not, or I would urge him to get professional help). He confessed to me that he puts empty envelopes into the ATM, and says tells the machine that there is $100.00 in them. FRAUD! He went to a bank, and asked them to cash a "future" check. The date on the paycheck was days away. But, they cashed the check anyway. That bank's name is " "Regal"(not the real name) The reason they cashed the check was because their own bank name was on the check. Other than that, they would have told him to get lost with his "future" check(he told me another place basically told him to stuff the "future" check up his ass and get lost, but in polite words).

He wanted to check his account at the bank, and they told him that he had "suspected bank fraud" on his bank account, and he told them that he bounced checks! Lie! I wish he had bounced checks. What he did was WAY worse(empty envelopes) He already had another bank account, after his original bank "National American Bank"(Not real bank name)flagged him for the "SBF", and another bank ,"Money Bank"(not real bank name)foolishly let him open up an account with the SBF, because they didn't check his bank records! Dumbasses! Dee-dee-dee! But, he claimed to me and to that bank that he already paid his original bank back the frauded money, but they still had him flagged. They, (the one that cashed his check), said that he would have SBF on his account for 7 years! Later, he sheepishly said to me, "I'm a bank fraud. It's not going away for 7 years. I said, "Let's find a nicer word than fraud. Let's try "dishonest." He said, 'I'd rather be called a fraud than dishonest."

As fast as you can!!! There is absolutely NO reason for him to tell you any of this except that he wants to get you involved or ask you for money (or scam you out of money) or he thinks you'll be impressed-- and none of those are any good. This one really is a no-brainer...go with your gut and get away fast.

i think it means he just fakes having money and deposits "100 dollars" and then withdraws it asap before the bank has time to process it and catch on.

either way, this guy is a douche and you should RUN FAST in the opposite direction. he'll probably start trying to steal money from you too.

Thank you for clearing that up. I had no idea the banks were that stupid. And the FBI hasn't caught up with this dude yet? I mean, that is more than fraud, that is a federal crime.

What dumb-ass bank lets someone open up an account without checking that person's bank records!

Hey, you guys are telling me that he is a loser for frauding the bank, but when I saw his paycheck, I almost CRIED! His paycheck is a joke, and not the funny kind of joke. I see why he has money problems. If that paycheck is what he survives on, he is in a dire situation........................

No excuse. He could get a second job, work extra hours.

Don't make excuses for him. Find better friends.

Don't give him excuses for committing fraud. He committed a crime and I am sure there is more to this. If he robbed an old lady of her purse and took her rent money, would you be saying, "Well, he hardly gets any money from work?" If he beat up someone would you defend him? If he stole a car would you defend him? NO. So why defend his criminal actions? WAKE UP JANICE...LET GO OF THE LOSER.

But the thing is, he really is a sweet guy. He said that he did the fraud thing out of desperation, and promised to never do it again. He said that he's basically been put on probation anyway,so if he ever does the fraud thing again,he said that he will be arrested.
