Default Actors you love on one TV show, but can't stand in another

I love Maura Tierney on NewsRadio but I never warmed up to her ER character.

I love Kelsey Grammer on Cheers, but I lost interest in Frasier after the first couple of seasons.

I'm sure I'll think of more later.

I thought Howard Hesseman ROCKED on WKRP as Dr. Johnny Fever, and was fine as Charlie Moore on Head of the Class, but feel he didn't fit in on One Day at a Time at all. I didn't buy him and Bonnie Franklin together at all.

I know what you mean, I loved Ted Bessel as Don on That Girl, but, somehow, I never felt he had the same chemistry with Mary on the MTMshow...for one thing, he seemed to be playing the same character, more or less ( BF second banana, who cant seem to win his GF's heart completely )

I liked Don Knotts as Barney Fife on the Andy Griffith Show but didn't like him that well as Ralph Furley on 3's Company.

I liked Terry Farrel on STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE 9, but thought she was just OK on BECKER.
I liked Ted Danson on CHEERS; but not on BECKER.

I sure did not buy Howard and Hesseman and Bonnie Franklin as a couple. If the relationship was better developed that might had been better.

I actually enjoyed Ted Bessel and Mary Tyler Moore as a couple but they were not given a fair chance for the relationship to develop. I love their love scene in the restaurant. That was great and Mary was a good kisser.

Here are the following actor/actress liked in one show but not the other:
Shelley Fabares - yes, Francine Webster on One Day at A Time but did not care for her on Coach as Christine Armstrong Fox. She was not fully utilized on Coach.

Nancy Dussault - yes on the New Dick Van Dyke Show but not, she was OK but not great, on Too Close for Comfort as Muriel Rush. I understand her and Ted Knight did not get along too well because she voiced her opinions on the lack of character development for Muriel. The chemistry between Ted and Nancy was good and believable as a married couple.

Meredith Baxter Birney - was outstanding on Family but on Family Ties she was not too great on there. She is more of a dramatic actress than a sitcom actress. On Family she turned in some powerful performances. On Family Ties I did enjoy her on-screen chemistry with Michael Gross. Their love scenes looked genuine.

Sherman Hemsley - yes on the early years of the Jeffersons but the last five years I did not care for his performances on the show. He was not as funny. On Amen I loved his role as Deacon Ernest Frye. He had me screaming it was so funny.

Bob Newhart - yes as Bob Hartley on the Bob Newhart Show and as Dick Loudon on Newhart but he was awful on the last series Bob as Bob McKay. His chemistry with Carlene Watkins was horrible and she was way too young to play his wife. Each TV wife got younger and younger. His chemistry with Suzanne Pleshette was great and good with Mary Frann. On the last show Newhart was 63 at the time and Carlene Watkins was 40. I understand housewives, especially, complained about the age difference.

John Larroquette in almost everything he has been in, but I absolutely HATE him on Boston Legal. I hate Carl Sack with a seething passion. There are horrible, cruel things I want to do to Carl Sack.

Loved Teri Hatcher on Lois and Clark. Hate her character on Desperate Housewives.
