I like the song, 'Sledgehammer", it is a really cool song, and the beginning beats(t) are/is AWESOME!
But, I was listening to Sledge, and I'm having a good time listening to the lyrics, 'I wanna be your sledgehammer, blah, blah, blah, and then I hear, "Open up your fruitcage."! WTF? I was like, 'Did he say, "Open up your fruitcage?" Is this a sexual reference? And I always thought that Sledgehammer, meant, 'Your rock and your protector." Am I right? . In one part, He says, 'Sledge, sledge," and I thought he was saying, "Speech, speech," I was like WTH? Why is he singing, "Speech?'" I looked up the lyrics, and I saw that it was the beginning of the word "sledgehammer" he was saying. He just said it in a weird pronunciation. Also, I think that Sledge, is one of the only songs that has both a fade-out and an instrumental ending. Peter sings until the song fades out, and when that part is over, a short instrumental music piece plays. Most songs have one or the other, not both.
