Default Bea Arthur

bea arthur is a disgusting, revolting, poor excuse for a woman,(if she is really a woman and not a transexual). she is always looking at the other womens boobs and butts. and constantly touching the other women, and she wears the most hideous clothes. she makes my stomach upset whenever i see her. whoever the producers and others are that decide who will be in their shows, they need to at least find a (woman?????) who can be believed and looked at without making one sick, to star in their shows. i only watch the show to see the other women, because i think the other women made the show and they are perfect for the show. is bea arthur a woman, a transexual, a transvestite, or what?

I think you have Bea Arthur confused with Rosie O'Donnell.

I always get sick when people constantly trash and lose their cool whenever they see a woman on TV who isn't modelesque, thin or pretty, nobody cares when a man isn't cute on television. Bea is a phenomenal comedic actress who was great on two series. Yea, she wasn't beautiful and she was quite masculine, but the woman has fantastic comedic timing and is a talented actress. The series needed Bea, we saw how Golden Palace fared without her.

Well said, Bea Arthur was fantastic as Maude!

I personally never thought of Bea Arthur as being masculine. She had a deep contrato voice. Look at Isabel Sanford and Suzanne Pleshette they both had deep voices and they are not masculine. Just because she is tall and with a deep voice does not make her masculine.

Bea Arthur is one of the great sitcom actresses of all time and her timing was great. She would had me screaming with her lines and her delivery. One thing about Bea Arthur that she did that Lucy did not even do was she bowed out of two TV series while they were still on top. Maude was a bit sketchy because it was starting to get tired and the premise of it. Golden Girls was still good and those four actresses together had the best chemistry than any cast I've seen on television.

If you're appauled by the way Bea Arthur looked, then it might be in your best interest to consider watching "The Golden Girls" for its comedy rather than to please your eyes.

I think some unkind things were said about Ms. Arthur here; however, she can be "difficult" as I have learned from some reliable sources. But it isn't nice to attack her physically as none of us can select what mother nature hands us.

Default bea arthur-female or male?

in answer to the replies, i have to say that i dont agree that she was so great as an actress or anything else for that matter. as i said before she is an overbearing, loudmouth, poor excuse for a (woman)?????. i watched maude for about 10 minutes and never watched it again because of the loudmouthed so called woman. as far as golden girls, the other 3 actors made the whole show. the best was sophia. and let it be known that the other 3 actors never really liked to work with her. i have this from very reliable sources. the reason being that bea was so caught up in herself that everything had to be her way. if bea is a lesbian, transexual, or whatever, thats fine. just dont make it so obvious. i have also lost respect for the actors that played her boyfriends and husband. any man who would get close to a (woman????) like her is either so hard up for work or has no self worth.

Default bea arthur

to add to my last post" i do not have bea mixed up with that loud mouthed fat assed rosie o'donnel. she is just another example of a fat, ugly, loud mouthed dyke like bea arthur. they both need to be taken off the air and kept off the air. this is just my personal opinion. i know it will piss someone off but i dont give a damn. i am only saying what alot of people dont have the balls to say.

Today's television seemingly picks ONLY beautiful people to be on television and movies. Why is Paris Hilton a star? That was not the case back in the 70's & 80's. Think about it! They used to pick ordinary people with talent. I think this hateful person has bought into Hollywoods' "beautiful is better" garbage. Ms. Arthur is extreamly talented and a BEA-utiful person! Stop hating people for no reason!
