Question How Long Does It Take?

How long does it ususally take you to get over a break-up? Everyone's different I realize, but I'd like a general idea of how long it takes.

For me it usually takes until i meet someone else, but, thats cause I tend to get strongly attached............not that I'm a stalker or anything; I'm more like a puppy when i care for someone! ( or maybe a puppet )

There are too many variables, such as how deeply attached we had become, how often I see her after the brake up, what the nature of the brake up.

I also don't have enough experience with such things at this time.

Last time, when I was lucky enough never to see her, I got over her in two and a half months.

I've never been through any actual break-ups but oh geez when I try to get over crushes is it ever hard. The problem is that I start caring TOO much!

Suppose it depends on how long you were together and why you broke up.
Things always get better with whatever situation you and an ex were in, for me time heals well and friends and family help.

i was in a relationship that ended in august of last year. he was going to ask me to marry him. we're still in love with each other and we're both still hurt.

according to studies, it takes 6-18 months on average to get over a serious relationship.

That's me too. Took me a while to get over a few crushes. Which is pretty dumb actually, since none of those guys cared a thing about me.
